External API keys for agents and teams

This feature lets you create an external API key bound to an Agent or Team, then use it outside the Workforces platform.

When to use it

• Run an agent from an external system.
• Run a full team from outside the platform.
• Connect Workforces to external tools or applications.

How to create a key (UI flow)

1. Open Your Agents or Your Teams.
2. Click Select Options.
3. Choose Generate Key.
4. A pop-up appears with two fields:
   • Key Name: a friendly name for the key.
   • Expiration Period: how long the key remains valid.
5. Set the values and click Generate Key.
6. Copy the API Key and use it outside Workforces.

Note

Store generated keys securely; they grant external access.
